Your privacy matters to us, especially because health cover involves sensitive information. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Medvenient collects, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and other applicable laws.
Health information is sensitive. We only collect what is needed to provide your care, we limit access to the people who need it (such as the doctor handling your consultation and our care team), and we never sell it or use it for advertising.
We do not sell your personal data.
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and protect your account. We do not use advertising cookies. Video consultations open on a third-party video service (such as Jitsi Meet), which may set its own cookies.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and for as long as needed afterwards to meet legal, accounting and insurance requirements. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, object to or restrict how we use it, withdraw consent (for example to marketing), or receive a copy of your data. You can update your name and phone number from your dashboard at any time. For anything else, email hello@medvenient.com. You also have the right to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
We protect your data with measures such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls and regular reviews. No system is completely secure, so please keep your password private and tell us straight away if you suspect any unauthorised access.
We may update this policy from time to time and will post any changes on this page. If you have questions about your privacy, contact us at hello@medvenient.com.
Our team is happy to help you choose a plan or answer any question about your cover.
